As an artist, creative director, store owner, jewelry designer, author, writer, TV host, podcast host, product designer, instructor and entrepreneur. "I love my life!"

Sugar Gay was born an artist. She loves creating items from old warehouse finds in NY and Rhode Island. It’s called new old stock or NOS. Then, she might add gems, fossils, pearls, a great chain or minerals. She also works with an old company that makes USA-made brass pressings to create custom jewelry. She uses a Rhode Island plater to create gold and Imitation Rhodium-plated items. It’s sustainable! ALL USA, ALL THE TIME.

“So when you walk in, it becomes a conversation point. And that’s how you can make friends, especially today when we’ve been so isolated. Even getting in an elevator – just to have somebody say, ‘oh, that’s a great piece of jewelry.’ It just can make your day,” Isber said.

I met Sugar when she worked for Google. Yes she worked for Google! She couldn't go into a meeting without someone handing her their jewelry to repair or money to buy whatever she was wearing on that day. It was amazing to watch.

Kelly B. USA

I met Sugar at a fashion show during SXSW. She had all of these crazy amazing jewels out for the models and designers. People were going nuts to wear one of her pieces. It was great for everyone because the photos would make the news.
